Equipment Needed:

  • Handgun and 3 magazines
  • 700 rounds of pistol ammunition
  • Holster and magazine pouches
  • Carbine and 5 magazines OR Shotgun with sling
  • Carbine: 800 rounds
  • Shotgun: 500 birdshot, 200 Buckshot and 100 slug
  • Pen and notebook
  • Laptop computer and digital camera (optional but recommended)
  • Hat or other head covering
  • Knee and elbow pads
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Sunscreen or raingear (as applicable)
  • Adequate personal water supply                                  
  • Sack lunch and snack food (We do not leave the range for lunch)

Firearms Instructor Development

There are fewer positions in life more important than being entrusted with teaching others to defend their lives and the lives of those they love.  Are you an active firearms instructor who wants to update your skills; or an accomplished student who thinks you are ready to learn by teaching?  This 50 hour course will cover principals based training, range safety, adult learning, course design, training plans development, combat mindset, marksmanship diagnosis, case law and liability, carbine and shotgun training concepts, combat shooting principals, shooting while moving, cognitive combat skills, shoothouse instructor safety, and low light instruction.

Duration: 5 days
