LPVO Carbine

Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) Rifle is a 1-day tactical rifle training course designed to highlight the advantages of the LPVO.  LPVO Rifle will allow the shooter to blend close engagements and mid-range engagements in one course.  It will push the limits of speed at closer ranges as well as push the limits of the rifle/optic/ammo combination at mid-range distances.  This course will explore the unique abilities of the LPVO and will focus on hasty positional shooting techniques and positively identifying the intended target in rapid fashion.

Topics Covered:  Optic Nomenclature, Rifle Fitment & Optic Mounting, Zeroing (Bipod & Support Bag Utilization), Point of Aim (POA)/Point of Impact (POI), Fundamentals of Stable Shooting Platforms, Positional Shooting, Holds, Intro to Ballistic Solvers, O.P.E, Rapid Target Engagement & Transitions

Prerequisite: Carbine 1 (or equivalent)

  • LPVO (1-4x through 1-10x)
  • 2-Point Sling (Recommended: Ridgeline Hog Leash, Edgar Sherman Design Sling, Sierratac Sling)
  • Bipod (Optional)

  • Front Support Bag (Backpack w/ soft fill will suffice)

Student Registration Information

*If there are no seats remaining, you can be added to the waitlist by emailing registrations@lmsdefense.com with the name, date, and location of the course.

A deposit of 50% of the course fee is required to reserve your seat in the class, normally collected within a week after registration. The remaining balance will subsequently be collected 5-7 days before the class.

Student initiated cancelations at least 14 days prior to class date are refundable MINUS a $25 per day processing fee.
Student cancelations less than 14 days prior to class are NON REFUNDABLE.

Students should expect classes to run rain or shine, though LMS reserves the right to cancel due to extreme weather (cold, snow).
LMS initiated cancelations will receive a full refund.

Refunds may be applied as credits at the student's discretion. Credits remain valid for 2 years.
