Privacy Over the Internet

LMS Defense appreciates that some individuals have special privacy requirements and concerns regarding personal information transmitted or collected over the Internet or on web sites. Below we describe our practices to address those concerns.

How LMS Defense Uses The Online Information Collected

Generic Information

To gauge the effectiveness of our web sites, we do collect some non-individually-identifiable generic information about our visitors. Our web servers automatically recognize a visitor’s Internet service provider, the IP address, the domain name, the type of browser, the operating system, which pages are viewed on our web sites, the web page a visitor was on when they linked to our web sites, how much time is spent on each page, and other information related to the operation and interaction of LMS Defense web sites. This information does not reveal a visitor’s identity. We aggregate this information and use it to evaluate and improve our web sites.

You can choose to provide individually-identifiable information to LMS Defense in a number of ways through our web sites – by sending us email or registering for a course. When visitors supply information about themselves for a specific purpose, LMS Defense uses the information for that purpose (such as to provide the information the visitor has requested or to register a visitor for a particular course). LMS Defense will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any individually identifiable information derived from the registration for or use of LMS Defense’s online service – including customer names and addresses – without the consent of the customer (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the customer or others).

When you click onto one of these hyperlinks, and leave the LMS Defense web site, you are moving to another web site that we do not control. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of these linked web sites, as their privacy policy may differ from ours and we cannot take any responsibility for the content or policies adopted by other web sites.

Security of Your Information

LMS Defense takes appropriate precautions to secure your information both online and offline, however “100% security” does not exist. Online, we do not keep or store your personally identifiable information with the exception of email addresses and the information you enter into your subscriber profile. Additionally, we do not keep or store any sensitive information online. Sensitive information required for billing such as credit card numbers is not collected, transmitted or stored online. Offline, all information that you provide to us about you and your organization is restricted to our physical offices.

Email Communications

LMS Defense or its business partners may use email to communicate with customers or prospective customers about events, services or to respond to visitor’s emails. If you receive unwanted email from us you may also remove yourself from our email list by simply following the “unsubscribe” instructions in the email. Do not ever email your credit card numbers, department/agency identification information or social security numbers to LMS Defense.

Future Web Site Versions

To improve the services it can offer you, LMS Defense may modify, change or expand its capabilities for obtaining and using information received from or about users of our web site. LMS Defense will update this privacy policy as necessary so that you have an opportunity to remain up-to-date of developments in this area.
